Bar Bruno Has Opened

The corner of Henry and Union streets, once home to Marius Cafe and before that Everything Bagel, has stood empty for far too long.

Luckily, good things come to those who wait.

The new tenant, , has lovingly renovated the space and decorated it with vintage photographs of soccer players and actors. Yellow tiles accent the front picture window, and black leather booths and banquettes appealinging line the walls.

Husband and wife team Richard Ampudia and Lena Seow are opening Bar Bruno slowly. Currently, an abbreviated menu is available for dinner, and they play to open for brunch and lunch soon.

Some current items on the menu are a queso asado sandwich with eggplant, ceviche tostadas and what Bar Bruno calls "big salads," including a frisee salad with a fried egg on top.

There is a full bar, and various Michelada and cocktail concoctions.
