Beloved Court Street Grocery Forced To Close, Report Says
Pacific Green Gourmet was forced to close after almost a decade on Court Street, according to reports.

COBBLE HILL, BROOKLYN -- A Court Street fresh food market was forced to close Thursday, after almost 20 years in Cobble Hill, after the landlord refused to renew the lease, according to reports.
A sheriff locked the doors at Pacific Green Gourmet at 151 Court St. Thursday afternoon, an employee told BKLYNER.
Landlord Arista Real Estate Holding Inc. first tried to evict owner Billy Solmaz in 2013, when they signed a 10-year lease with J Crew, the Real Deal was first to report.

Pacific Green Gourmet, which Solmaz and his partners opened in 2001, survived the J Crew deal and even the opening of Trader Joe's because they were able to provide fresh fruits and vegetables without the hassle, shoppers told DNAinfo.
“The neighborhood would miss this store,” said Sherry Sellinger.
