Monday
The Moth StorySlam at The Bell House
The live storytelling series is back, orators, and this week's subject is bound to bring in some compelling tales. The theme? Trust. Witness the brilliance beginning at 8 p.m.; $8; The Bell House.

Tuesday
Bookbinding Parties With Short Stack Editions
Love recipes, whole foods, independent publications and handmade goods? Then you may be the perfect candidate to attend a bookbinding party this week for Short Stack Editions, a new series of single-subject recipe books that will debut this fall. Featuring the culinary creations of Susan Spungen, Ian Knauer and Soa Davies, the recipe books have been written, edited and illustrated. Now they just have to be hand-stitched together—and that's where the parties come in. Attendees will stitch their own books, as well as others, while witnessing demos, nibbling things, and chatting with contributors. Multiple dates; $20; Kitchensurfing Townhouse.

Wednesday
Shop the Barclays Green Market
Stock up on locally grown produce and artisan snacks at the new Barclays Green Market taking place Wednesdays at the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hellooooo, Brooklyn foodies.

Thursday
Live Score to Beasts of the Southern Wild
If you were one of the countless film fans who fell in love with New Orleans-based indie flick Beasts of the Southern Wild last year, good news: You can relive the magic in an entirely new way this week at Celebrate! Brooklyn's live score performance, featuring Dan Romer, Benh Zeitlin and The Wordless Orchestra, who together will recreate the original score.

Thursday
The Filmballad of MAMADADA
Described as "a collectively-authored experimental biodrama about the early 20th Century artist Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven," this feature-length film includes 49 artist interpretations and responses to the "amorphous legacy of feminism." Show begins at 8 p.m.; $5; Roulette.
