A multiple car motor vehicle accident in the BQE ditch Thursday sent one person to , according to the Fire Department.

The accident, involving at least three vehicles, occurred just before 12:30 p.m. directly under the Union Street overpass in the eastbound lanes.

At 1 p.m., traffic was stopped in both directions.
