Carroll Gardens Agenda: Friday Night Fireworks, African Music, Bloody Mary Bar at Marco Polo
Weekend activities abound in South Brooklyn.

It's summer, the sun is shining, and everyone is in a better mood. Let's take that positive energy and spread it at some of the incredible Brooklyn events this weekend.
Friday
Friday Night Fireworks at Coney Island: Brooklyn may have been overlooked by the city's Fourth of July spectacular, but did you know you can catch booming, sparkly explosions in the sky every Friday night through August 30th in Coney Island? YES! Shining bright above the Wonder Wheel will be an array of pyrotechnics in honor of, well, we're not entirely sure. But, hey, fireworks! Free; 9:30 p.m.; boardwalk between West 10th Street and West 15th Street.
Saturday
Tuareg and Malian musical performances at Littlefield: Looking to expand your stereophonic tastes? Run, don't walk to Littlefield in Gowanus to listen to world-renowned artists, straight out of the Sahara and West Africa interpret modern politics through timeless instrumentation. 7:30 p.m.; $18; 622 Degraw Street
Sunday
Hit the Bloody Mary Raw Bar at Marco Polo: If you haven't sidled up to a stool inside this 30-year Carroll Gardens mainstay for lunch and slurped back a few Blue Points at $1.50 a pop, you really haven't lived. Add to that clams, shrimp cocktail and seafood salad, and you may end up staying for dinner too. They open at 1 p.m.; 345 Court Street.
