Catch A Thief, Get Free Ice Cream Says Brooklyn Business Owner

Uncle Louie G's Carroll Gardens location is offering a quart of ice cream to anyone who can help solve a nearby, unsavory crime.

Uncle Louie G, an ice cream shop in Brooklyn, is offering a tasty reward to anyone who gives a thief his just desserts.

An unknown thief stole a $68 Alfred Stadler money clip from By Brooklyn, a nearby shop to the sweet confections store, at 261 Smith St. at approximately 1:15 p.m. April 22.

This prompted Uncle Louie G's Carroll Gardens location to offer a free quart of ice cream or Italian ice in support of fellow local business owners to anyone who can help solve the crime.

“In a[n] effort to help a fellow small business owner and friend we posted the images [of the alleged thief] at our store and on our Facebook/Twitter pages to get help from the public,” a spokesperson for the store told DNAInfo via email.

The suspect is described as a man with short, grey hair wearing a blue jacket and sunglasses.
