Charges Dropped Against Ousted Brooklyn Community Board Manager

Craig Hammerman resigned from his post as district manager last month.

COBBLE HILL, BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn District Attorney has dropped charges of stalking and harassment against the former district manager of a Brooklyn community board.

Craig Hammerman, who had served on Community Board 6 for nearly 30 years, was accused of using his ex-girlfriend's Uber account to follow her to a hotel and breaking a restraining order she took out against him.

He turned down multiple plea deals, according to his attorney, including one that would have seen him admit to a violation in exchange for dropping the more serious charges. The D.A.'s office dropped all charges against him on Nov. 1, according to the attorney, Joyce David.
