Community Meeting on LICH Future To Convene Thursday

The Cobble Hill Association wants to celebrate recent victories with an eye toward next steps.

Now that SUNY Downstate has withdrawn its plans to close Long Island College Hospital the future of the Cobble Hill institution appears bright—but is still uncertain.

For that reason, the Cobble Hill Association is hosting a community forum this Thursday to celebrate recent victories and consider next steps.

A panel discussion including Assemblywoman Joan Millman, Council Member Brad Lander, and various representatives of Sen. Daniel Squadron's office, the New York State Nurses Association and Concerned Physicians of LICH, will take place on Thursday, May 2 at 339 Hicks Street, Conference Room A, at 7:30 p.m.

All members of the community are welcome.
