Ethan Hawke Buys Boerum Hill Home for $3.9M
The actor and his family will be moving from Chelsea to Brooklyn.

Boerum Hill welcomes another celebrity to the neighborhood, according to a recent scoop by Real Estalker. Over the weekend the website reported that actor Ethan Hawke, along with his wife and four children, will be moving into a townhouse recently purchased for $3.9 million.
The 4,026-square-foot space is described as "an Italianate meets Greek Revival style red brick townhouse, circa 1859" featuring 6 bedrooms as well as 5 full and 1 half bathrooms.
The article goes on to add that the mammoth, four-story home has managed to retain many original details despite undergoing renovations in 2003.

"There are explosive acanthus leaf corbels that hold up shallow archways, heavy duty ceiling moldings and medallions, extra wide window and door frames, five working fireplaces with marble mantels, multi-tone wide plank wood floors, pocket doors with stained glass and new(er) Landmark approved windows that historically minded preservationists will surely appreciate," reads the breathless account.
