Hit-And-Run Driver Slams Carroll Gardens Cyclist, Cops Say

A 60-year-old man was left in critical condition after a crash with a hit-and-run driver on Sackett Street last month, police said.

CARROLL GARDENS, BROOKLYN -- A 60-year-old cyclist was hit by a Brooklyn driver who sped away after the collision, according to police.

The black sedan slammed into the man as he rode his bike across Sackett Street near Hicks Street at about 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, police said.

The car swerved onto Hicks Street, heading south, then turned left onto Union Street and sped away, said police.

Emergency responders rushed the cyclist in critical condition to Methodist Hospital, police said.

Police released a photo of the four-door sedan they believe hit the biker Thursday night. Anyone with information about the incident or the car is asked to contact the NYPD.
