Last night a male in his 20's was near Columbia Street. Police are investigating.

-On Thursday, Jan. 6 at 10:50 p.m. three thugs knocked on the door and then forced their way into a second floor apartment at 426 Baltic St. Cops said the 20-year-old male victim reported his hands were tied with ziplock ties, and his head was covered with a blanket. He also said he saw a silver automatic hand-gun. The creeps made off with an X-Box, a Samsung cell phone and an iPod. No arrests have been made.

- A burglary took place at the Irish pub at 191 Smith Street on Thursday, Jan. 6 beginning at 2:30 a.m. The thief (or thieves) entered the location through an unlocked cellar gate door, and then proceeded to break into a basement office, cops said. And iPod shuffle, a Compaq laptop computer and $440 were taken.

- On Thursday, Jan. 6 beginning at 11 a.m. a garage at 346 Bond St. was broken into and items were stolen. Two bikes, a grill, an orbital polisher, ski boots and a ski helmet, a folding ladder and an air filter were taken. The hood of the 42-year-old male victim's Volkswagon sedan was also scratched. The thieves got away.

-On Friday, Jan. 7 at 2:52 p.m. a male purse snatcher unsuccessfully tried to take a woman's purse with a laptop computer inside on Sackett and Court streets. The victim, a 49-year-old female, said the creep followed her from Court and 4th Place. He took off east on Sackett Street.
