Kids Fitness Center To Open On Smith Street

Get your toddler the six-pack abs she deserves.

CARROLL GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Does your toddle want rock-hard pecs and six-pack abs? Well she's in luck, because a new gym for kids is coming to Smith Street.

My Gym, a children's fitness centers with more than 500 locations across the globe, has signed a 10-year lease for the 5,600-square-foot space at 209 Smith St., realtors announced Monday.

The asking price for the space was $150-per-square-foot, a Thor Equities spokesperson said.

The former home of Burger On Smith will soon become a gym studio for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years, according to Thor Equities Group.

My Gym hosts fitness classes, camps and birthday parties in its facilities that include trampolines, climbing walls, gymnastics studios, and indoor playground equipment such as swings and monkey bars, photos show.

Access to those kid fitness facilities come at a price. One My Gym outpost charges parents a $75 fee to enroll in either a $79-per-month membership that includes one class per week or $119-per-month membership that includes unlimited classes, according to the company website.

My Gym currently has seven outposts in New York City (one in Park Slope) and in 27 other countries that include Lebanon, Australia, Vietnam and Brazil.
