COBBLE HILL, BROOKLYN — Brooklynites looking for their brush with British history without leaving the borough might be interested in an impressive house that just went on the market in Cobble Hill.

The Amity Street four-story home sits on the same Cobble Hill Historic District block where Winston Churchill's mom grew up before she became a British socialite, according to Brownstoner. Lady Randolph Churchill, back then known as Jennie Jerome, lived just a few houses over from the available 187 Amity Street townhouse with her family, according to the Cobble Hill Association.

The $4.8 million home also has some historical significance of its own.
