Man Nabs $14K In Cobble Hill Bank Robbery, Police Say
The robber told workers at the 192 Smith St. bank he had a gun and stole the cash on Friday, police said.

COBBLE HILL, NY — A robber with a "Security" hat threatened workers at a Smith Street bank to steal nearly $14,000 in cash last week, police said.
The man walked into the Chase Bank, at 192 Smith St., on Friday and asked a worker to speak with a manager at about 5:43 p.m., the NYPD said.
When the teller finished with another customer, the robber put his hand in a brown messenger bag, demanded to be let into the tellers' area and threatened to shoot the worker if they didn't, police said.

The robber got $13,594 in cash from one teller station and $7 from another before he ran away on foot northbound on Smith Street then eastbound on Warren Street, police said.
Police described the suspect as about 5-feet 5-inches tall with a slim build and black and gray hair.
