Man Robs Smith Street Bank For $1,500, Police Say
The man handed a teller a note demanding cash at the Ponce De Leon bank, 169 Smith St., on Jan. 2, police said.

CARROLL GARDENS, NY — A man stole about $1,500 in cash from a Smith Street bank after he handed the teller a note demanding the money earlier this month, police said.
The suspect walked into the Ponce De Leon Federal Bank, at 169 Smith St., on Jan. 2 with an orange bandana on his face at about 10:50 a.m, the NYPD said.
He passed the teller a note demanding money and he got $1,500 in cash then fled the bank in an unknown direction, authorities said. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

Police described the man as between 35 to 40 years-old last seen wearing black pants and a dark colored coat.
A woman who was seen with the man after the robbery is also wanted for questioning by cops.
