Man Tries to Steal $1,386 Worth of Diabetes Drugs

Attempted Robbery at Rite-Aid

A man attempted to steal a variety of diabetes medications from at 320 Smith St. but was followed by an employee and dropped the goods, cops said.

On Friday, Aug. 5 at 2:45 p.m. a 27-year-old female employee noticed a man attempting to steal items from the store. She followed him and then he dropped them and ran. All the items were recovered and totaled $1,386.

Man Slashes Man After Dispute

A 22-year-old parking lot manager on Degraw Street near Van Brunt Street had his left ear slashed after an argument with a customer on Tuesday, Aug. 2 around 5 p.m., cops said.

The manager told the thug not to park on the sidewalk and the discussion turned violent when the driver pulled a knife and slashed the manager's left ear. This incident is under investigation, cops said.

 

Two Cars Stolen on the Same Day

A 2007 Hyundai Elentra was stolen between 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4 on Douglass Street between Smith and Court streets, cops said. The victim is a 52-year-old female.

A 1997 Honda Sedan was stolen the same day between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sackett Street between Court and Clinton streets, cops said. The victim is a 29-year-old male.

No arrests have been made in either case.
