Manhattan's Bourgeois Pig Comes to Carroll Gardens

Say goodbye to the Calpurnia Wine Bar.

A swanky, cocktail-infused Manhattan outpost will soon open on Court Street and First Place - across the street from the decidedly un-swanky .

According to New York Magazine's Grub Street, the East Village Fondue spot is opening a second location in the former Calpurnia Wine Bar, at 387 Court St.

There will be a "brief, daily-changing menu with rotating offerings that might include a lobster bisque or a dark-chocolate-bacon-beer fondue" and wine, though the "main focus" will be on cocktails.

In what seems to be a nod toward the already existent culture of Carroll Gardens, Grub Street reports this location will have less of a speakeasy vibe than its Manhattan counterpart, and will instead be more "Euro-Style," featuring Amaro, an Italian herbal liqueur, concoctions.

Also reported: the plans for 20 outdoor seats.
