New 4-Story Tower Planned For Columbia Waterfront District

Developers want to rezone a portion of Summit Street for a 55-foot-tall tower with 17 apartments, New York YIMBY reported.

BROOKLYN, NY — Developers want to rezone a section of the Columbia Waterfront District to build a four-story apartment tower, New York YIMBY reported.

Pilot Real Estate Group and Horrigan Development LLC filed plans with the city to rezone 55-63 Summit St. to build three to four residential buildings, according to city records and New York YIMBY.

The first plans call for a 17-unit, 55-foot-tall apartment building with a 900-square-foot community facility and 25,959-square-feet of mixed-use space, YIMBY reported.

The rezoning application will start it's community board review process this month and then move on to the city for approval, city records show. If granted, construction could finish in 2020, New York YIMBY reported.
