Photo of the Day: Smoked Gnocchi

This handmade pasta dish from Frankie's Spuntino on Court Street gives new life to an old favorite.

Want to taste something new and familiar all at the same time? Try a bowl of Smoked Gnocchi, a recent special spicing up the menu at Frankies Spuntino on Court Street.

"The potatoes are smoked before being mixed in to the pasta dough," explained the bartender.

"If you didn't know it, you'd think there was bacon in there—but there isn't," added the bartender. "It's the smoke. I'm convinced we could use this method to create the most amazing and deceiving vegetarian dish ever. Maybe we will."
