SAINT MARK'S GOSPEL
Return Engagement of a solo performance of the complete work -St. Paul's Church Saturday, April 25, 2015 @ 7:30 PM

In the first one-man performance of The Gospel According to St. Mark to be seen in New York since Alec McCowen’s legendary production nearly twenty years ago, performance-artist Christopher Johnson presents Mark’s complete original text as an after-dinner entertainment, the form in which it was most likely “published” in first-century Rome.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the earliest gospel as the urgent “good news” it was meant to be: a thundering yarn, with unforgettable characters, lightning dialogue, and a hero who may be God but is most certainly man. Sponsored by the Adult Christian Education program of St. Paul’s Church, the performance will take place in the historic church’s newly restored nave, and benefits the church’s Building Fund.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is located at 199 Carroll Street (corner of Clinton), Brooklyn.
