The former global head of Airbnb will live closer to his new gig at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

COBBLE HILL, BROOKLYN — A former top Airbnb executive has moved to Cobble Hill, the Real Deal reported.

Shaun Stewart, who now leads a company housed in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, paid $4.6 million for a townhouse on Congress Street. The home was first listed at $5.5 million

Steward was the global head of Airbnb's online rental service before leaving the company to become a director in Google's self-driving car unit. He is now the CEO at technology company New Lab.

The three-story house includes oversized casement windows, four outdoor spaces, an eat-in kitchen with custom Italian cabinetry and a versatile floor-plan, according to the listing. It was built three years ago. The exterior was made to fit in with the 19th-century homes surrounding it but it boasts the conveniences of more modern construction.

The Real Deal pointed out that the home is one of many luxury properties to sell at a discount. A report using StreetEasy data found that 84 percent of high-end listings sold at a discount during the first three quarters of 2018, which is more than the 65 percent tallied in 2015. The dollar amount of discounts, though, remains the same, the report found. The median was $500,000.
