COBBLE HILL, BROOKLYN -- Luzzo's BK, the first Brooklyn branch in famed pizzaiolo Michele Iuliano's pizzeria empire, was shuttered by health inspectors who found mice and roaches in the restaurant, city records show.

The pizzeria at 145 Atlantic Ave. was shut down on Nov. 1 after inspectors from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene found five serious sanitary violations, records show.

Luzzo's BK earned 44 violation points for mice, roaches, not vermin-proofing the restaurant, keeping foods at unsafe temperatures, and improperly constructed counters, according to official records.
