Firefighters Rescue Boy, 5, Who Climbed 40 Feet Up A Tree
The little boy climbed the tree and then got stuck, firefighters say.

CENTER MORICHES, NY – Firefighters rescued a 5-year-old boy who climbed 40 feet up into tree and got stuck in Center Moriches.
According to the Center Moriches Fire Department, a call came in at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday regarding a child stuck in a tree at a house on Ocean Avenue.
Firefighters arrived and found that the child had climbed up the pine tree; they rescued him using the tower ladder, officials said.

Once in position firefighters safely pulled the child into the bucket of the tower ladder, where he was lowered to the ground, officials said.
Center Moriches firefighters were back in service within 30 minutes.
