Folkie Fest: Come Together Virtually
An afternoon of original and familiar music: live stream concert
Due to the ongoing restrictions, Folkie Fest will be providing an online show in place of the planned performance. While nothing quite replaces live performances, please tune in on Sunday, May 31st at 2 PM. Folkie Fest will be on Facebook live streaming. Everyone on or off Facebook can watch at https://www.facebook.com/folkiefest/live/ There will be pauses in the show as everyone is performing from their own home. New friends and old, coming together in song. An eclectic mix of established and emerging artists will come together for an afternoon of beautiful music. Meghan VK, Anne O’Rourke . Karl Blessing, and Grand Folk Railroad are performing.
If you so choose, you can purchase a “virtual” ticket to help support the artists. The community center has been closed and will use any donations to support the artists. You can make a donation of any amount.

Folkie Fest offers an ongoing concert series with local acoustic artists in the spirit of folk music as envisioned by the late Pete Seeger. We provide a listening space and support live, local, singer/songwriters sharing their work. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the community center, and a 50/50 raffle will be held to benefit Long Island Cares: The Harry Chapin Food Bank.
