Folkie Fest: Strong Women of Song

Celebrating Women's History Month

Look for this to be rescheduled in the fall! Women from around Long Island performing original acoustic works and some familiar tunes in a listening setting. Our artists come from across Long Island, east to west, north and south. Joining us as emcee is hometown singer/songwriter James O’Malley who has graced our stage for several performances.

Meet our performing artists:

Inda Eaton: performing songs from her latest album, Shelter in Place, new material and favorites from Go West, Inda’s appearance at ‘Strong Women of Song’ fest takes a rousing look at the allure and chaos of the road from the perspective of living on the east end as a western expat. Think ‘girl with a guitar who is addicted to harmony and dash board drumming’ meets a TED talk hosted at a comedy club. Inda Eaton is a singer-songwriter-storyteller in the tradition of Americana roots rock. Often compared to a fusion of Melissa Etheridge meets John Mellencamp, Inda’s original music and observational humor mine wanderlust and epic adventure to explore topics of resilience, community & connection. Shelter in Place is now featured on Pandora, Itunes and Spotify. CDs to include Go West will be available at the fest for Inda to sign after the show.
