As LI Pet Groomer Battles Coronavirus, Community Steps In To Help
The owner of The Posh Poodle is fighting the coronavirus and is on a ventilator. Donations are needed and the community is rallying to help.

CENTER MORICHES, NY — A popular Center Moriches dog groomer is battling COVID-19 — and the community is coming together to help.
A GoFundMe page,"Help Jill & Walter Roth and the Posh Poodle," was created by Kristen Murray of Center Moriches to help Jill, the owner of the Posh Poodle Spa.
Jill has been at Stony Brook University Hospital since Dec. 26 and on a ventilator for two weeks in "stable critical" condition, with her lungs impacted, Murray said. Jill's husband Walter has been unable to work in past years due to an unrelated illness, and Jill's business was the sole source of income, Murray said.

"Since the business cannot operate without Jill, Walter is trying to keep the household afloat and with medical bills starting to accumulate, we ask for your help," the page said. "Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated and please continue to pray for Jill's recovery."
Walter thanked everyone who has donated so far and shared the campaign. "It means more than you will ever know. Please continue to keep Jill in your thoughts and prayers as we wish for a speedy recovery," he said.
