Man Wanted In Connection With Burglary At Neighbor's House: Cops

The man, who entered his neighbor's home, had a confrontation with her as she was trying to leave her house, police say.

EASTPORT, NY — The search is on: Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police Department detectives said they need the public’s help to find a man who is wanted in connection with a burglary in Eastport earlier this month.

Roger Snyder, 57, entered his neighbor’s residence, located on Old Country Road, on Nov. 9 at 9:50 p.m., police said. During the burglary, Snyder had a confrontation with the homeowner as she was attempting to leave the residence; he fled the scene in a green 1994 Jeep Cherokee with a New Hampshire license plate 2301760, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
