New Dunkin' Donuts Could Be Coming To Center Moriches
According to Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico, the proposed Dunkin' Donuts will be sited where a bank was once located.

CENTER MORICHES, NY — A new Dunkin' Donuts could be coming soon to Center Moriches.
According to Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico, a public notice will be posted soon at the Lidl shopping center on Montauk Highway, pertaining to plans for the proposed location.
The application will be before the town planning board, Panico said, adding that the owner of the center recently contacted him and sent over plans which he intends on submitting to the town.

“The owner of the shopping Center will ask the planning board for a parking variance and special permit for a drive-thru window for Dunkin' Donuts," Panico told Patch. "'The proposal calls for Dunkin to occupy 2,000 of the 3,500 square foot space that was formerly a bank."
Those in support or opposition will have the opportunity to make their positions known to the planning board, he said. "However, those comments should relate to the application at hand," Panico said.

He added: "It should be noted that Dunkin' can move into that space right now with relative ease by pulling building alteration permits and then obtaining a certificate of occupancy. The issue at hand is the special permit for the drive-thru that also triggers a parking variance."
