School Makes More Than 150 Phone Calls To Share Good News

"There were many tears of joy."

MORICHES, NY — School staffers took to the phones to celebrate the 100th day of school recently.

Moriches Elementary School staffers made 100 positive phone calls to families sharing anecdotes including how their children are positive role models, leaders, good citizens, hardworking and more, the district said.

At least three families from each class were chosen randomly to receive a call from a Moriches Elementary employee including teachers, support staff, teaching assistants and administrators. In total, more than 150 families received phone calls, a release said.
