Special Weather Statement Issued For Suffolk County

The National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement for Suffolk County:

Intermittent light rain will mix with and change over to light snow this afternoon across the area. Very little to no snow accumulation is expected, however untreated surfaces may still be slippery this afternoon, especially with temperatures falling to around freezing by sunset.

Wednesday Afternoon- Snow. Steady temperature around 35. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Wednesday Night- Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 18. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph.

Thursday- Sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. West wind 7 to 14 mph.

Thursday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.

Friday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. West wind 8 to 11 mph.

Friday Night- Mostly clear, with a steady temperature around 33.

Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.

Saturday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Sunday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.
