The temperature didn't make it out of the 50s on Long Island Sunday and it will be the same story Monday, but then it's time to break out the shorts.
We are looking at highs in the 70s and even the low-80s from Tuesday through the end of the work week.
An uptick in humidity will accompany the summer-like temperatures, according to AccuWeather.

“It will definitely feel like summer,” AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Mike Doll says.
Temperatures will be back to seasonable levels come the weekend, but sunny skies and highs in the 60s sounds just about perfect.
