Young Student Artists Shine At 'Colors Of Long Island'
Congratulations, Abigail Mercado and Maggie Hua!

MORICHES, NY — Two William Floyd Middle School students made their hometown proud with their exceptional artwork recently.
Sixth grader Maggie Hua and seventh grader Abigail Mercado had their artwork selected for display in the 20th annual “Colors of Long Island” art exhibition, which ran through May 8 at the Long Island Museum of American Art, History & Carriages in Stony Brook. Their work was featured alongside other talented students from across Long Island.
The annual student art exhibition gives talented students in grades K through 12 an opportunity to show their artwork in a museum setting. Hundreds of proud parents and teachers flock to the museum each year to admire the work of the talented Long Island students, many of whom go on to study art in college, the district said.
