Central Park Winter Jam Returns This Weekend

The Central Park Bandshell will be transformed into a winter sports wonderland on Saturday, Jan. 27.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — There's no snow in New York City's weather forecast this week, but that won't stop the Parks Department — and a few high-powered machines — from turning the Central Park Bandshell into a winter wonderland.

The Parks Department will host its annual Winter Jam celebration on Saturday, Jan. 27 in Central Park. The event — which the department describes as "New York City's ultimate snow day" — features winter sports, food trucks and kid-friendly seasonal actives.

Some of Winter Jam's most popular activities such as ski lessons, sledding and snowshoeing are returning for this year's event.
