The 77-year-old pedestrian was also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries, police said.
Cheeseboro was riding a throttle e-bike at the time of the crash, police said. New York State lawmakers are currently working to legalize the vehicles, which can reach a top speed of about 25 miles-per-hour without requiring the rider to pedal. Versions of the bill have been passed in both the State Assembly and State Senate, but has not been delivered to the Governor to sign, according to the state legislature's website.
