Man Mugged In Central Park, Police Say
A 67-year-old man was sitting on a park bench when he was assaulted and forced to flee the park without his belongings.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted in connection with a mugging in Central Park, police said.
A 67-year-old man was sitting on a park bench near Olmsted Way and West Drive on Friday when he was approached by an unknown man who started to shove and punch him, police said. The victim, fearing for his safety, fled the park but was forced to leave his belongings behind, police said.
The attacker grabbed the man's tote bag, which held an iPhone, and was able to avoid arrest, police said. The victim was not seriously injured during the mugging, police said.
