5 HV Communities Make 2019 List Of Best Places To Buy A House

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Five Hudson Valley communities made Niche.com's 2019 list of the Best Places to Buy a House in the New York City area. Places in Westchester and Rockland counties made the cut, with Chappaqua topping the list.

The ranking website methodology for the top 100 list including assessing the housing and community of each area.

Some of the key factors for the rankings included a location’s housing market, taking into account the home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools, to measure the quality and stability of an area’s real estate market.

• Bronxville, No. 33
• Armonk, No. 38
• West Nyack, No. 49
• Hartsdale, No. 54

Other communities that ranked high, but didn't make the top 100 include Scarsdale, Suffern, Larchmont, New City, Lincolndale and Briarcliff Manor.
