2 Women Went On $22K Shopping Spree With Stolen Credit Card: Cops

Police are searching for two women who spent $22,000 at Barneys with a stolen credit card, the NYPD said.

CHELSEA, NY — Two women spent $22,000 at Barneys with a stolen credit card, cops said.

A woman, 38, went to the bathroom at a Starbucks in Chelsea located at 61 Ninth Ave. between 14th and 15th streets Monday, April 22 about 4 p.m., police said. When she returned, her wallet with $400 and credit cards was gone, according to the NYPD.

Cops investigated and found that two women spent $22,000 at Barneys New York, Downtown department store, located at 101 Seventh Ave. between 16th and 17th streets, the NYPD said.

The two women are about 30- to 40-years-old and were last seen in black baseball caps with dark clothing, cops said.
