All-Avocado Restaurant Opens In Chelsea

Avocaderia has opened its first Manhattan location.

CHELSEA, NY – Avocaderia, the restaurant that puts avocados in everything, opened its first Manhattan location in Chelsea on Thursday.

The popular avocado-based restaurant opened its doors at 271 11th Ave., in the Terminal Stores Building, fresh off a $400,000 investment from the reality investment show "Shark Tank." Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban decided to put $400k into the restaurant concept in exchange for a 20 percent share in the young business.

Avocaderia opened in Sunset Park last year, selling out of the avocados it had stocked for its opening in just one day.
