Car Hits Man Near Chelsea Piers, NYPD Says

A car headed south on 11th Ave. hit a man on Monday night, leaving him in critical condition.

CHELSEA, NY – A car hit a 21-year-old man near the Chelsea Piers on Monday night, leaving him critically injured, the NYPD said.

The incident happened on 11th Ave. near W. 22nd Street.

A witness who was driving another car recounted told the Daily News she jumped out to try to help the victim.

She said she told him, “Don’t move. Don’t move. We’re going to help you,” according to the Daily News.

The driver stayed on the scene where a suitcase was seen lying next to a pool of blood, according to the Daily News.
