Chelsea Apartment Where Fashion Designer L’Wren Scott Died Sells for $6.5 Million
That's $2 million less than the asking price.

CHELSEA, NY — The Chelsea duplex where L’Wren Scott — model, fashion designer and former girlfriend of Mick Jagger — died in 2014 has sold for $6.5 million, according to Corcoran, who had the listing. The sale price of the 3,328-square-foot apartment at 200 Eleventh Ave. was nearly $2 million less than the $8.25 million it was listed for in May. Scott, whose original name was Laura "Luann" Bambroug, committed suicide in 2014 at age 49, after reportedly battling depression.
The apartment, which she purchased in 2010 under "Scottland Management, LLC" for $5.6 million, according to public records, was one of the building’s famous "Sky Garage" units, with a car elevator leading to a private 337-square-foot garage.
The duplex has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, two "Juliet balconies" and views of the Hudson River.
