Chelsea Gas Station Turned Pricey Condo Unveils Interior

The Getty, located at 239 Tenth Ave., is finally nearing completion.

CHELSEA, NY — After years of slow, painstaking construction, the site a former Chelsea gas station is nearing its transformation to high-end condo tower.

The Getty, the soon-to-be residential tower set to open later this year at 239 Tenth Ave., released a first look of its luxe interior. The lot, located near the the High Line, is emblematic of the transformation on the west side of Manhattan in the last decade: From Getty gas station, to (briefly) a public art project, to high-end and architecturally innovative residences.

A first look at The Getty's exquisite interiors. The High Line will never be the same again.
