Chelsea Gym Offers Workout To Raise Funds For ALS Research
Chelsea's Orangetheory Fitness Studio is offering a $25 workout class Saturday to raise money for ALS research.

CHELSEA, NY — A Chelsea gym is offering a workout class for $25 to raise funds for a non-profit that aims to fund research a cure for ALS disease.
Orangetheory Fitness Studio in Chelsea, at 124 W. 23rd St. between Sixth and Seventh avenues, will offer a 90-minute fitness class for a minimum of $25 donation Saturday.
Per Orangetheory, all of the proceeds will go towards Augie's Quest to Cure ALS, a disease that drastically weakens muscles and is also called Lou Gehrig's disease.

Classes will be offered 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, May 11. For those who cannot attend the workout but want to donate, see here.
Saturday's class is for both members and non-members of the gym.

Orangetheory is trying to raise $6 million for Augie's Quest to Cure ALS.
Last year, the fitness company raised $4 million, according to Orangetheory.
Augie's Quest to Cure ALS was founded shortly after Augie Nieto was diagnosed with the disease in 2005. Nieto, a fitness industry leader, launched the non-profit to fund research to find a cure for ALS.
