Chelsea Teens Will Present Tech Projects on Friday
The showcase will take place at the Chelsea Recreation Center and will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9.

CHELSEA, NY — The future of America's tech industry is being shaped right here in Chelsea, and you're invited to check it out for yourself on Friday night.
The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting the RecYouth Teen Digital Media Fall 2016 Showcase, which gives local teens the opportunity to "present tech, video, graphic design, game design, photography, and audio projects" they've worked on this fall, according to the event page.
The showcase will take place at the Chelsea Recreation Center, located at 430 W. 25th St., and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. Admission is free for attendees and food and beverages will be provided.

RecYouth is a city program for teens ages 13 through 17, offering them the chance to learn about video, audio and graphic design. Participants are encouraged to use the learning experience to connect with their own interests and express themselves, according to the city.
