Citi Bike Rider Hit In Chelsea On 6th Ave, Witnesses Say
A Citi Bike rider was hit at West 29th Street and Sixth Avenue.
CHELSEA, NY — A person who appears to have been riding a Citi Bike was hit in Chelsea Thursday afternoon, a photo provided to Patch shows.
FDNY officials said the person was taken to Bellevue hospital just before 2:30 p.m. with non life-threatening injuries, though they said they were logged as a pedestrian.
Photos of the scene provided to Patch show a person who appeared to have a bloodied shirt being treated by paramedics with a Citi Bike turned on its side in the crosswalk at West 29th Street and Sixth Avenue — an intersection where there are protected bike lanes on both the avenue and the cross-street.

The NYPD did not immediately have information about the crash.
