Gluten Free Gourmet Pastries Shop Opens In Chelsea
Las Delicias opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in Chelsea Market.

CHELSEA, NY — A gluten free and kosher pastry shop has opened its first storefront in Chelsea this week.
Las Delicias now has a brick-and-mortar home of its own in Chelsea Market's recently expanded downstairs grocery shop.
The bakery will serve scones, paninis, crème brulee, rugelach and gluten free and kosher items inside of The Chelsea Local on the lower level of the Chelsea Market.

The shop was founded by Argentinian-Jewish baker Deborah Brenner, according to Grub Street, which named it was one of the best places for rugelach in New York. Before this week, the bakery has sold its pastries at various locations around the city, including Union Square Greenmarket.
Menu items range from $2.75 for small treats to $12 for paninis.

The Chelsea Local is located on Ninth Avenue between 15th and 16th streets on the lower level of the market.
