Here's When To Watch Free Outdoor Movies In Hudson River Park

HUDSON RIVER PARK, NY — Manhattan's west side park will feature outdoor movies in its annual Hudson RiverFlicks series.

Hudson River Park Trust announced the summer line-up this week, with family-friendly films on Fridays and New York City classics on Wednesdays.

"Our iconic New York movie lineup every Wednesday will remind New Yorkers why they fell in love with the City in the first place, while Friday nights will mean fun for the whole family. Better still, this year we're adding a new twist to the classic outdoor movie experience by bringing two new live remixed scores to cult classics," Madelyn Wils, the president of the Trust, said in a statement. "We invite all New Yorkers to bring their friends and family, grab a picnic blanket, and join us for a summer of fun at Hudson River Park."

The screenings kick-off June 21 for a Heritage of Pride movie night, with additional films slated throughout July and August.

Movies start at 8:30 p.m. or dusk — whichever comes first. Free popcorn is served on a first-come, first-served basis.
