Man Charged With Murder After Dream Hotel Shooting In Chelsea
A man was shot and killed outside the high-end Chelsea hotel on Thursday. On Monday, a West Babylon resident was charged in connection.
CHELSEA, NY — Police have charged and arrested a 26-year-old man in connection to a deadly shooting that took place Thursday outside of the luxury Dream Downtown Hotel in Chelsea.
NYPD arrested West Babylon, New York, resident Robert Johnson on Monday, charging him with murder, assault, and criminal possession of a firearm.
Byron Morales, 25, was hit by a bullet in the stomach outside of the Dream Downtown Hotel at 355 West 16th Street on Thursday, police said. Emergency services took him to Lenox Hill Hospital, where he died, police added.

According to the NY Post, the bullet flew during a dispute between the 25-year-old and another man who took off afterward in a jeep.
