Mermaid Inn Set To Bring Tasty Seafood To Chelsea

The Mermaid Inn will be opening its fourth New York City location in Chelsea at 227 Tenth Ave., this fall.

CHELSEA, NY — The Mermaid Inn restaurant is swimming to new shores this fall, as the popular seafood establishment is set to open a new location in Chelsea, the eatery said on Instagram.

Its fourth location will be at 227 Tenth Avenue, near 24th Street, in the building that formerly housed the popular Red Cat restaurant, which closed at the end of 2018, Eater New York reported.

Chelsea neighbors who were fans of the Red Cat should be happy to know that one of the owners of the Mermaid Inn, Danny Abrams, was also an original co-owner of Red Cat, according to Eater.
