Missing Chelsea Man, 23, Sought By Police

Police asked for the public's help finding a 23-year-old man who went missing from his apartment in Chelsea this week.

CHELSEA, NY — Police appealed to the public Wednesday for help finding a 23-year-old man who was last seen at his Chelsea home earlier this week.

Mahmoud Elnabawy was last seen around 9:20 p.m. Monday in his apartment at 443 West 25th St., part of NYCHA's Chelsea-Elliott Houses complex.

Police described him as Asian, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and about 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.

Police shared a photo of Elnabawy and asked anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
