Somewhere Nowhere blossomed from the vision of the owners and operators, Nathan Leong and Sameer Qureshi of El Grupo SN, with design by architect Stonehill Taylor.

“When guests arrive at Somewhere Nowhere, they will be welcomed into something truly magical,” said Leong, cofounder of El Grupo SN. “We have created a full sensory-driven experience designed to amaze and enchant every guest on every night."

New York City-based artist Sam Tufnell’s gnome collection kicks off the art show at the venue, featuring neon gnomes made from translucent resin.

Somewhere Nowhere will serve seasonal and lounge menus curated by creative director Iris Tang and executed by Chef Fabrizio Facchini. Menu items will feature international fare, including vegan and vegetarian options. Expect to find Impossible burger sliders, watermelon salad, truffle fries and lobster rolls.

"Somewhere Nowhere offers a sense of escapism for local New Yorkers and anyone who visits the space," Tang said. "I had our production team decorate the venue with hanging foliage dropping down from 25-foot ceilings in the center of the venue to create the magic garden atmosphere."

Somewhere Nowhere will also be the first New York City venue to feature KV2 audio speakers to amplify deep house and techno music, the founders said.

The lounge and rooftop pool will open to Renaissance Chelsea New York’s hotel guests and the public every day and night of the week. You must have a reservation and be 21 or older to enter with valid identification. All Somewhere Nowhere employees are fully vaccinated. Masks are optional.

Hours of operation: Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight (first two weeks of July). Due to expected inclement weather, the pool level is closed during July 4th weekend.
